Dear Lauryn Elizabeth,
Happy 1st Birthday! It is crazy to think it has already been a year since you blessed us with your presence! And to think, mom was upset that she was going into labor when she was suppose to be at a Twins game!
You came into this world a month before we expected you, and our lives could not have been blessed more. You are such a fun-loving, energetic, happy baby with a strong personality. We've had so much fun seeing you learn new things, develop a personality, and turn into a toddler. Your smile lights up the room, and your giggle is just contagious. Daddy loves his time with you in the morning, even when you wake up early and are crabby! He loves to play with you, read you books, play with the dogs, and explore the house. He taught you how to crawl up the stairs, and now he may be regretting that! His time with you is so special, and his life has become so much more fulfilled because of you! Mommy loves the time in the afternoons with you, and loves to hold you and rock you before bed. She likes taking you for walks and swinging in the park. She enjoys it when you "help her" in the kitchen, too! And let's not forget
bath time, your favorite part of the day. Let us not forget how our conversations have changed to the excitement of poopy diapers, to cutting teeth, to babbling, giggling, crawling, and walking. It never crossed our minds to think it would be so exciting to play peek-a-boo, watch you blow kisses, give high fives, point to your nose & ears, and learning to walk!
We know your life has just begun, and that we will continue to be blessed everyday with the joy you bring to our hearts. You make us so proud to be parents, and we couldn't imagine our lives without you!
