The most precious ABCs we've heard

Well, after a couple of weeks of trying to get this on audio, we finally managed.  Then, it took Megan over a month to be able to get it posted to the blog (hopefully you can play it!). So, here was Lauryn one evening in early August, walking around in her underwear (don't pay attention to the video!!) singing her ABCs.  Just turn up your speakers to catch the audio.  It's pretty adorable, but we are biased, of course!

Back into the swing of things....

School has started and we are back into the swing of things.  That means Lauryn is at daycare on Wed, Thurs, and Fri afternoons.  We had a busy first week back, with Eric still dealing with a lot of back issues and trying to prepare for a garage sale.  Whew - it is done and hopefully we have a bit of a calm week this week!

The end of summer continued to bring lots of fun.  We continued to visit the Arboretum, went to a "touch a truck" event, and Lauryn got to spend time at "Mommy's school".  She loves visiting the school and hanging out in mommy's office.  I suppose that is really a double-edged sword, but we'll take it for now!!   We made it to the apple orchard already, and Lauryn had a blast doing all the activities there. 

This weekend was Carver Steamboat Days and Rally Sunday at church.  Grandma Pat and Grandpa John were up, so she had a blast with them.  She fully enjoyed the mint malt at the malt shop, had fun at the petting zoo - although more interested in riding the pretend horse, and had a blast getting loads of candy at the parade.  For such a tiny town, the parade is great - over an hour long, tons of candy, and even a float that handed out beer to the adults!!!  We had to drag her out of the bouncy house at church, but once she was introduced to cotton candy, she forgot all about it.  She has seen fireworks before (from inside a camper or the house), but never "heard" them. She thought they were pretty, but covered her ears and said "no more fireworks", so we headed home before the grand finalle!!
