We have been a CrAzY household these past few weeks! Between work schedules, visitors, spring break, finishing the basement, yardwork, running after speedy little Lauryn, Eric's bum knee, Megan's LASIK surgery, and Lauryn's continuous sniffles & cough, life has been a blur!!
Lauryn has been able to spend some quality time with some special people the past few weeks. Visits from Grandpa & Grandma McMahan, Grandpa Gruis, and Megan's college friends have been a blast. Lauryn got to spend 2 entire days with Grandpa Gruis babysitting - I think Lauryn enjoyed giving him a workout! A visit from the McMahan grandparents included a fun trip to the Arboretum.
Lauryn is officially getting into everything! She can crawl at lightning speed and can chatter like crazy. Other times, she prefers to contently play with her toys and only mumble a few peeps. We are happy either way! She is getting so much more inquisitive and you can tell she content just thinking. Luckily, she eats anything we put her way, and she still enjoys bathtime after a messy meal. Her six teeth seem to get bigger every day, and she crinkles her nose when she smiles and flirts - it is the best! She can stand on her own for longer every day, but gets very scared when we leave her to walk just holding onto one hand. We secretly hope she takes a while to learn this new walking on her own thin - a few more months of sanity would be nice!! When the weather is nice, we have been going on lots of walks and spending time in the park. She LOVES to swing and watch all the kids play. We are looking forward to much warmer days to come.
Happy Easter to all! Enjoy the true meaning of Easter and try to leave the Peeps and Easter Bunnies aside for a few moments to reflect on God's Grace & Forgiveness!
