We started out Father's Day at church, where Lauryn was in the nursery for the first time. Wow, that was nice to not have to worry about where she was running off to and be able to listen to the sermon!!
After church, we headed to the Hyland Park Reserve for a picnic and to play on the biggest playground we've ever seen. We had a nice, quiet lunch on the hill. Lauryn tried deviled eggs for the first time, and she was really enjoying eating from her plastic fork. That was a hoot to watch. Once we started to get bit by the bugs (the one thing mom forgot to pack - bug spray!), we headed to the monstrous playground. No swings to swing in, but there were plenty of fun slides, if we didn't have to wait our turn. If you like to people watch, and loose your kids in the mass of a playground, go to Hyland Park (Chutes & Ladders) Playground!
We came home and played and played and played in the basement!! After dinner, we went for a walk with Odin. Of course, we ended up at the park again and got to swing and slide some more!
Hope everyone had a great Father's Day. We were thankful it didn't rain today!
