HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!
Our church service was really beautiful, and it was packed to the brim. So great to see so many people worshiping on Easter Sunday! There were 3 services, and we hope they all had people in the overflow areas!
When we got home from church, Lauryn was entertained by daddy with her Easter bag from the nursery, while mommy played hide-and-go seek with the Easter eggs! Oh yah, Lauryn did play too, and ended up beating mommy at the game! She is getting pretty good at the color game - knows her blue (definately the easiest to say and the favorite), purple, yellow, and sometimes green. You have to be able to de-code Lauryn language to know those are the colors she is saying, but none-the-less, all the playing in the ball pit at the community center is paying off! Lauryn has been in love with her piggy bank the last few days, so her eggs had some money in them and she had a blast putting it into her bank. One-two-three-six-seven-eight....maybe that is how the money grows interest in toddler world!! She also enjoys the jelly beans as much as her mom - even the black ones!!! And her way of "sneaking" around to find the hidden eggs is priceless; should have gotten it on video!
We eneded up making a ham and some other goodies for the 3 of us. It was a relaxing day, as we all enjoyed an after dinner nap, and then a trip to the park. We gave up popcorn for lent, so supper was an extra-special treat tonight!
We hope everyone had a fabulous Easter with family and friends!
