No School Day for the State of MN! Fun at home with mommy & daddy!

Now that the holidays are over and hopefully we are past the minus zero temps, it must be time to finally update the blog!

The Holiday were definitely grand. Time spent with family friends and Megan's Godmother before Christmas, and time with good neighbor friends moving to Colorado. Time spent with the McMahan side of the family before Christmas and on Christmas Eve. Treacherous travels home on Christmas Eve after church in West Concord, to be home to put out treats for Santa and his reindeer. A wonderful time on Christmas morning with Lauryn being so thrilled to read about the Christmas story, read a note from Santa about the true meaning of Christmas, and open up her gifts. And a wonderful Christmas dinner and afternoon with Grandpa Stan.

The rest of the break was spent re-arranging the house for the coming of the little brother or sister, along with deciding we should do other house projects. When 1/2/14 came around, it was a surprise that break went by that fast and we were headed back to preschool and work! It was a "warm" welcome to stay home both Monday and Tuesday and be comfortable at home while it was so cold outside.

Lauryn started gymnastics again. Since this is her 3rd gymnastics class, we decided to buy her a cute little gymnastic outfit. More close-up pictures of that to come. It was adorable to see all the kiddos in the class and their cute outfits!

We welcomed this weekend's warm temperatures, and the making of snow forts and playing with the neighbors. The kids had so much fun and certainly needed the fresh air after we have all been inside for so long. So fun to see the kids run and play and be so carefree, and so excited to come in for hot chocolate and cookies!
