The Gruis Bean x Two!: Ethan's First Tooth!

The blog counter said Ethan was 4 months, 1 week, and 3 days when he got his first tooth!! It's the bottom middle right tooth coming in and the left one will be close behind! He has been busy getting up numerous times a night over the past week, so this could be one reason why.

We've also had the house of bacteria lately, too! Lauryn, Megan, and Ethan have all been on antibiotics. Lauryn had an ear infections/tonsillitis/cough that just wouldn't go away. Megan had a form of strep that wouldn't go away either, and then Ethan got pink eye. Once Ethan's pink eye came about, we dropped all the home remedies and decided to get the prescriptions filled and get rid of it all for good. Now, Ethan and Megan have been giving each other pink eye back and forth. ERG. This too shall pass!

We had a fantastic "stay cation" for the 4th of July! We went to the Taste of Minnesota with some friends. Good thing the friends/kids were along, as we were not impressed. The best thing was taking the kids on the rides, especially the bumper cars and roller coaster! And then going to the playground and out to eat after!! Just too expensive and not enough to do. We also got new bikes, a trail-a-bike for Lauryn, and a pull-behind for Ethan. We are now set for great biking adventures for years to come! We had our first adventure around Medicine Lake, with a picnic and a crash-landing for Lauryn where her bike ended up in the lake. Yikes! It was scary, but thank goodness for bike helmets! We also had a blast on the 4th with our neighbors, and we did a little neighborhood celebration with a kiddie parade and fireworks! Great fun.

We've been starting Ethan out on some avocado. He seems to like it!! We haven't made it to the 4 month appointment yet, since we were there for the pink eye meds and didn't want to go back the next day. It's really a pain when a trip should take 15min and it takes over an hour due to flooded roads. Going back the next day just did not seem like a great idea. So next week we will see just how big he is. You can tell from the pictures, he is growing like a weed!
