...my two front teeth, yes my two front teeth. We may need to modify the Chipmunk's song, but all Lauryn wanted for Halloween was her two bottom front teeth and that is what she got!
Grandma and Grandpa McMahan babysat on Thursday, since Eric had to work his regular shift and Megan had to be at school until 8:00pm for conferences. They came up and had a great 8 hours with Lauryn (see pic below!) and while having so much fun, they spotted Lauryn's first tooth! On Saturday morning, Megan was checking out the tooth and noticed the second one coming in, too. Lauryn hasn't been crabby, although her sleep patterns have been off the past week or so. She also had her cold/runny nose the past few weeks, and she has definately had "the runs"....but no doctor will tell us those are signs of teething, right?!?!?
Now, if she could only master the art of sitting up, we would be on to something! She teeters and totters when trying to sit up, but just can't manage to hold the position for too long. Hopefully within the next few weeks, we will see some major progress in this area. She seems to somehow know how to get places, as Eric left her on the floor on one side of the room, and when he returned 3-5min later, she was on the other side of the room with a rash on her cheek. We wish Big Brother would have been watching, as we are sure that would be a funny video to see!
As for Halloween, Grandma McMahan found her a cute pumpkin outfit. We think she looks adorable, and hope she gets a few numbers from the neighbor boys while handing out candy this evening. We had quite a few trick-or-treaters last year, so we are hoping for the same this year. It should be fun, since we know alot more of our neighbors and we should recognize all the kids.
